So far it is one Kameleon Yo with forks and King headset, a complete Mavic equipped 1989 Dave Yates with rollercam rear brake, a complete 1989 Kona Fire Mountain and a modern Pompino (I should feel ashamed over the latter, and do). A Colnago Master X-Light and, possibly, a Merlin XLM should complete the job I hope. Still, many bikes but only one wife.

The upside is that once the kitchen is in I can get myself something nice :twisted: .

Actually, my biggest worry is that with a new kitchen I will be forever forbidden from working on my bikes in the dry and warm.

There is a fantastic book you should read called - The third policeman.

There is a great bit about how bikes make their way into kitchens to be around people.

I have taken this as literary literal translation- and my kitchen is my bike workshop...:roll:

Also 'The Poor Mouth'

The Atomic Theory is in both.... the exchange of atoms between the bicycle and the rider due to vibration on poor roads, resulting in the metamorphosis of the two. Proof in the form of bikes found leaning against fireplaces in the warm and dry, and men seen leaning with elbows resting on walls etc.

:oops: Straying off topic......kitchens :roll:

I understand your pain

Kitchen floor = 1991 Mercedes 560 SEC

Kitchen units = 1980 JVC ML10/ PL10 pre/power amplifier

Conservatory = Peugeot 753 road bike, 1983 Escort RS1600i

:roll: :roll: :cry:

Don't worry. I fitted a new kitchen just before Xmas. The 'no working on bikes in the kitchen' thing lasted all of two weeks. The very cold weather did help though.
