Thank you all..

I like the karma thing. I've only given the odd thing away, but I know some folk are very generous, especially to complete strangers.

Haha no I've never visited the singletrack forum, but I'll take your word for it that it's another example of a forum filled with that kind of people :D

If I'd had more spare fundage, I'd have snapped up one of the Clockwork frames recently up for sale on here for sure..

I may seem a bit melodramatic
Well, you are a pigeon
I can guess the forum youre talking about,Not really a friendly place to hang

Troll Central :x

Clockwork rides so nice too.you have to get one.At least for a while 8)

I do wish i'd never sold mine :( .It may have been a hodge podge of parts but it was super to ride and confidence inspiring on the trail.

It's hard to be a snobistic know-it-all prick when you found your bike in a tip, or most people think it belongs there.

i used to think that about retrobikes  . now i look at retro commuters and identify the parts which is fun. i wouldnt have known what the parts were without joining retrobike.

retrobike is like a big family, retrobikes, retro values (the good ones)
everyone has respect for each other. very selfless group of people.

there is an abundance of information to be learnt from this site and users, after all, retrobikes are the foundation of biking right....

I agree. I now look at all sorts of old bikes that I would have ignored before with a new interest.

A significant part of the success of the forum is the way it is moderated. Quite strictly and consistently without being arrogant or heavy handed.
IMHO

i aint been on many bike forums, this being my main forum for advice, parts and the only site i have met and went on rides with folk.

beats all others IMHO and you dont get bike snobs here, it caters for all.

other sites just seem to mock folk, and that isnt on.
