Teesside cycling 1950-1970; information sought

Posting on behalf of someone whose grandfather raced in the Teesside area many years ago, William (Billy) Bowes:
"Does anyone have photos or memorabilia of cycling in the early 50’s - mid 70’s in the Teesside area? Anything associated with Teesside Clarion or local riding/races in Teesside/North Yorkshire."

The only things that I have experience of abourt Teeside racing is riding the T252 and T254 25 mile courses and a 50 starting at Catterick with Sid Barrass in the field as a young lad. It were all a foreign land in them days....................

My dad Glen Bowes, my uncle Gerry Bowes and my godfather Mally Turnbull all raced in the Teesside area in that era . Unfortunately I don’t have any photos or anything . I will ask dad if he recognises the name seeing though it’s the same surname .
