I believe "Campy" is American for "Campag"? To be fair, they've probably been using theirs as long as 'we' limeys have been using ours. A Ciocc will remain a 'chee-ok' to me.. It's like croissants- I always just ask for a 'cross ant'.. I'm not going to embarrass myself by attempting French pronunciation, especially in France, where they will pretend you are incomprehensible however hard you try..

Another one is 'Nouveau Record'.. Not that I've ever seen that written, but I guess that's how you'd have to spell some English interpretations of 'nuovo'..

derry = derailleur? (the other reference I believe refers to Derry, Northern Irelands second largest city)

Ah ok.

From memory Northern Ireland's second city is called Londonderry. It is also know as Stroke City and was the UK City of Culture in 2013 (which still amazes me).

I hear the term CLINCHERS is used all the time :facepalm:

This is a retrobike form and by my law it is HP's and not bloody friggin CLINCHERS so there you have it :evil:
