Old School Grand Master
was standing outside the back of the house last night facing north watching a plane fly over at about 30 00 feet listening to the rumble of the engines as it went past .facing north is a helicopter port near the north end of yarmout.....at about the same time time from thsat general direction a large orange glow appeared to come from that area low on the horizen,it was completely silent and travelling very fast south wards at 15 degrees of the horizen.i thought it was a chopper at first as you see quite a few from that area all the time....however as it hammered past no engine noise came...it just flew past and then went out of sight...as it came towards me it was orange ,,much larger in size by a great deal than the plane that flew over a second or so before.....as it went past it was whitish with a tail that i could make out....when you see a shooting star its long ,moving very fast with a long tail that takes about half a second to get across the sky,,,this thing glowed orange and moved like a low flying plane low across the horizen........did any one else see it?...oh about 9.40 ish pm....

if it is the invasion...i for welcome our new reptile overlords and will be the first to work with our new masters when they come to enslave the puny weak humans........

just a foot note but i reeckon the plane must have had a really good view as they passed from opposite directions at roughly the same time...

I saw this, or something very like it at 21.40 last night, as I was driving...

Looked rather like a firework, but much slower, and longer lasting.

According to today's paper, twas a comet 8)

bbc news said it was a meteorite, it was seen from scotland all the way to devon.

i read one witty comment on the telegraph website about how he was on the commen in london and saw a smoking crater and then his phone went dead.....our view out the back of the house was just fab...i was at the gfs house in the countryside where there isnt any street lights ect so the view for miles is perfect.....i just wish i had filmed it...

Meteorite. Wife saw it from couch, too gob-smacked to give me a nudge though. :?

I'm sure I know that - it's Rush a track from Presto? One of my favourite from that album. Think it's the last Rush album I bought.
