Going to buyer who wishes to remain anonymous (well. who wouldn't?!).

More an ATB than MTB...and needs WORK!

Please don't ask WHY - a rare moment of totally irrational bidding. Seller wouldn't let me buy my way out of the deal, so it is now here. It is NOT in working order. Front brake cable clamp shot, so needs some means of attaching to actuating arm. The 6 speed RH shifter is partially seized, the stem totally so. Seat post now free. I haven't tried any other dismantling.

Good bits? The hubs, I suppose. Rear 2 speed Sachs Orbit ("Special ATB"!) seems to work OK and rear brake fittings in good nick. Non-matching rims good.

I really can't be bothered putting it right and just want rid.

Collect only Nottingham - £35 anyone??

What has the seller to say about the faults?

Refund or give -ve feedback would seem to be in order.

Strange - it looks in deceptively working order to me - looks can be deceiving, yadda yadda. Shame. Everyone is allowed an occasional e-bay irrational purchase

Well, I suppose some buyers would have rideen it as it was - the front brake was connected, just that cable shot. I paid too much, but MY bid, my fault. And I collected it, but wasn't about to indulge in "acrimony" with two dudes a lot younger than I - my fighting days are over and in any case for these two I'd always have needed back up!

A small loss in the scheme of things - if I was still a drinking drunk (I've been 100% dry for over 9 years), just a couple of days' gin and brandy money!

Anyway I've a PM from an interested party!
