Someone nicked my number plates last night!

Can get 'show' plates without a V5 off t'internet (I have bought regular plates online, from those places, because local places wanted considerably more than the £7 I paid last time)..

Ok they don't have the kite mark or dealers details etc. but the font is standard so they don't attract unwanted attention.

They've probably nicked a car same model and colour as yours, your plates on it and it'll be going through customs by now.

Ordering plates however easy will leave an evidence trail.

I had this happen a year ago to my shed of a Fiesta and have heard of it happening around here a lot. Petrol theft is one motivation. Look on the bright side, you get a crime reference on a letter from the police; then any tickets, or fines will be quashed.
Think about that.

you fill your car up and drive off,simples. if the plates not the OE plate then they struggle to track you down

couldnt you replace the bolts with hex head ones?
i mean by the looks of it your average thief will have just the one screwdriver
a small deterrent maybe
