For sale is my friend Nina's light blue '70s Jack Taylor Supertourist frame & parts which would make a lovely winter project.
The frame has 531 tubing and braze-ons for downtube shifters, cantis, mudguards, front light and rack. It also has"over-top-of-BB-shell" gear cable guides. The forks are chromed and the frame has lovely Nervex Professional lugs. Everything in the photos is included apart from all the drivetrain and the handlebars. This includes a complete set of period Mafac canti brakes with adjustable levers, SR Laprade aero seatpost and seatpost bolt, Campy headset (Record?) and stem (think it's also an SR).
ST = 21.5"
TT = 22.5"
rear OLD = 124mm (should be ok for 126mm) horizontal drop-outs
If you were to clean up the Mafac brakeset I know they are worth £40 alone, the stem and seatpost should polish up nicely (latter is the aero type), I can't honestly say if headset is good enough to re-use - but I've personally restored worse - and perhaps Nigel Old Campy can sort out new bearings and crown race if needed. There's plenty of surface rust but it's structurally sound... most of decals are intact and are available online should you decide to respray it:

As you'll see from looking closely at the photos the owner only has one leg, the bike was built up for her specially in the 1980s - therefore you'll note unusual placement of a front wheel hub in place of lefthand crank arms & pedal. It has plenty of history, but for last ten years has been stored in a reasonably dry shed.
£200 posted is just a ball park figure. I've researched and they're certainly very sought-after... I'm not making anything from the sale as the owner is a friend. Blackbirdsf.org and Sheldon Brown.com estimate value = US$300 for frame in good original condition, this is tatty but comes with extras so I just plucked a figure from thin air to be honest.
Feel free to discuss or ask any questions,
Cheers, Alex
