My 14 year old son has been playing for the same football team since he was 8 years old. They have moved up leagues through the years, and are now due for promotion into the Premiership for next year!! (Southend District Junior Football)

I have been to every single game!

He has played centre back for most of this time, and mid field the last couple of seasons.....BUT..has never scored a goal!! :(

Anyway...My wife was on a friends 50th Birthday night away on some fitness weekend in Hopton on Sea!!

I had to pick her up, which meant I had to miss the game yesterday.....

...I think you are all ahead of me here...

Yes....he scored his first goal...and I missed it!!!

At least you can blame your wife :)

Haha.

Yes that is sods law solidly at work here. Shame, was there any video footage? Although i dont think it will be much consolation.

Now you wont miss a game ever again....

.

I let my wife take my son to footie for the first time in ages last satruday......hatrick  The law of sod in full effect

I did say to him before I left..

"make sure if your going to score, film it on your phone!"

But he didn't!!!

:?

He will grow up to be a proffesional football player earning big bucks if you stay away from all his matches. Otherwise he'll curse you for bringing the luck of Jonah to his potential career by watching him

Andrew it just might be that he feels pressured to score when your there, some times kids try to hard to do well in front of their parents :?

Just maybe!

Guys it's not the pressure of his dad being there, it's just that his dad makes him run around the pitch holding out a camera phone, that's got to put you off a bit. :)
