finished. the first and easiest half is done and its all averagemark's fault he said i saw this guys bike he had the same cranks as you and he's polished them like a mirror and it looks the nutts.

so on saturday afternoon my missus was feeling ill (flu) so i took it upon myself to hide in the garage and avoid the germans, so i got to thinking about what mark said and so it began i got the cranks off and stripped down and started sanding the non drive down to with some 240 grade followed by 600 grade paper and then 1200 grade once ever little scratch was gone the polishing started 8) 8)

i'll wait till mine have a few more maarks on them before i put myself through the stress of that much polishing!

look good though 8)

I did a similar thing with an old pair of m950s - only did the front face though, and I didn't do that good a job! I know how much work it must have been though

looking good there fella, may have to pick myself a set up, either that or polish the front faces on my SLX ones .......

I did the front faces of some LX M580's at the weekend. left the sides in the blue/grey...with a fade between them...look quite cool.

they should be done and the on one fully upgraded for the 13th thetford meet the pics hardly show how hiney and deep these cranks are

shiney is the wave of the future
