So what's the story with Dekerf?

That's excellent info thanks. I feel like treating the old girl to a pair of sussies... 8)

Thought I should post up a photo on the thread,
and BTW the horrid front mudguard fell off 8)

^^ Nice!

Here's mine

I am currently building up a Dekerf SSer as well.

Great to see an old thread with top information resurrected plus I now have a DeKerf of my own (and confess that I didn't fully appreciate the quality I was getting when I purchased off eBay for a song).

It's a poor photo and although I've only ridden it three times I'm really pleased. It'sa lso a new departure into the world of (cable) discs and enjoying them too.

Chris Dekerf also built bikes for Rod Kirkham who started Mountain and Beach Bikes in British Columbia back '86 and then went on to start Offroad Toad. Dekerf made some of the Toads and also built one of the rarest MTB's around, The Horny Toad (only 9 bikes built)

Here's the note that went with the bike in the show.
