the labour "safe seats" around here have all gone SNP

'New Labour' are the closest to my political view point.

I would really want a socialist government, but those days have gone brother.

al.

Move to Scotland dude, seems we have a socialist government for the next five years at least.

huraah for bilbo

Bilbo, that is a good thing.

Now who is going to be Frodo and throw the ring in?

Salmon's successor. Interesting.

I think we need ten years at least to get independence sorted out.

The first referendum may fail, but I am sure it will show a move in that direction.

My hopes are for more work on grabbing powers from Westminster so the actual independence argument becomes less important, given sufficient political and economic freedoms.

As long as we can keep our oil I couldn't care less about the daylight! :)
Yeah, You keep your oil, you'll need it to replace the English taxpayers' largesse. ..

Yup, but it's English taxpayers subsidising Salmonds reclkless spending, your free prescriptions, free further education, enhanced benefits thresholds etc...
I have no trouble paying my taxes to support all Uk citizens, but when I'm providing them with advantages not available to us in the rest iof the UK, another referendum seems appealling..., :P

The British Museum, The Natural History Museum, The V&A, Wembley, The Olympics, on and on it goes. Who is subsidising who?

This is the reason people here are fed up with being force fed Westminster politics.

You really think Scotland has been the poor relation in this union over the years?

If it is the case that we are 'overpaid' then you will surely be happy to let us cut the reigns and claim the resources within our territory for our own benefit.
