Site Suggestions (and Issues) Thread

@Jamiedyer - why is the road section BOTM winner not on the front page?

Living life is a busy old business and if you haven't got the time then it is time to try and find someone else to do it. Not an easy task, i know , because everyone else has busy business in their lives, but maybe there is someone.
I have asked the Guvnor, John about putting the Road winner on the front page with the others so should hear back soon.
Yes, I am pretty busy but don’t have the permissions for posting on the front page, you have now asked so will see what John says, nothing about being too busy to do.
I think you may be right in that the competition may need someone else to run it. Maybe time for some new ideas.
Are you putting your hat in the ring?

Jamie

Yes he IS '...looking at you funny....'

There is a history to these modern destroyers-of-the-trail......

It's genuinely not that e-bikes will one day be retro - there's a line of historical e-bikes ALREADY OUT THERE....

I’d agree that isn’t suitable for family viewing and is really not something I want on the site.

Had another look at the settings and made a couple of further updates. Shouldn’t be serving ‘adult’ themed ads so if stuff like this is appearing will need to dig further.

I’ve accessed the site a few times via incognito browsers and see no ads served like this, tricky to know exactly the source.

Next time anyone sees content like this if you can get details will try and block the advertiser.
I'm getting
"conjoined twins"

"Revealing prom photos"
I assume it's Random clickbait.

How do you get the advertisers details to pass on to you without risking raising your profile with them?

I assume the site is responsible for ad content as much as posted content under the online safety law?

It will depend on the operating system and the options offered by the browser. With Chrome running on Chromebook, I press alt and left-click on the advert to get a context menu with an option to 'Copy link', and I then paste the link into a plain text editor. In Windows and the versions of Linux I'm familiar with, it's right-click to get the context menu. I've never got on with Macs, so I'm not sure there. On mobile and tablet, it's usually long-press. (On Chrome on Android, it's long-press, then 'Copy Link Address'.)

Aside from lots of adverts for rather comfortable-looking shoes, in the last week I've had a few of the celebrity's 'huge size' adverts, the Emma Raducanu advert a few times, and now the one below 🤷‍♂️. They all come from the https://trace-eu.mediago.io... even the shoes.

Argh. Sorry about that.
Just had another look and hoping I have done better job of blocking these ads.
Best plan when such ads are seen is to PM a screenshot. I can then go through the Adsense back end and block entire networks.
