What's Right: It just rides so well, it's heavy but rides light!

What's Wrong: It doesn't have Hope Pro2 Evo hubs!

What's Next: New Hope crown race is in the post, mine has shed it's rubber seal.

Nice thread idea!

Here's my 1997 Marin Hawk Hill

What's right:
Rides much nicer than it should for a low end bike. Running a two speed drive train is great fun.

What's wrong:
While I love the silent freehub, the pawls have a nasty habit of not engaging smoothly after freewheeling, leading to a feeling like the chain is slipping. Not a biggie on what is essentially a beater. Left crank is missing the extracting threads. Lots of battle scars!

What's next:
Eventually a new rear wheel when the freehub finally dies. Maybe change the 18t single sprocket on the rear for a 17t one.

Well the Hope Crown Race is fitted and incredibly a pair of Hope Pro2 Evo Wheels landed in my possession. The back wheel has been stripped and serviced and is clicking away happily on my P7. I need some 15mm adapters before I can fit the front.... Wanted ad up, let me know if you can help.

Don't be shy, post up your daily warrior and your ongoing plans for it :)
