Hi

I stripped a very nice set of M563 Parralax hubs down and in doing so found one cone to be badly pitted (rest are like new and cleaned up a treat)

Where do you look for a replacement rear drive side cone and does anyone know the part number, I’m guessing it’s common to the M56* range.

I’ve visited SJS and Cycle Basket.com but not knowing what I need is a ball ache.

Can anyone help point me in the right direction,

Thanks Spud

FH-M563

Drive-side: Y31B05001 or Y3AE03000
Non-drive side:Y30P98030 or Y3AE98030

Y3AE03000 can be bought from SJS: https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/hub-spares/ ... y3ae03000/ I expect that is the one you need.

Y31B05001 is also fitted to the following hubs:

FH-1056
FH-C070
FH-MC30 (but not all variants)
MH-M737 (but not all variants)

Y3AE03000 is also fitted to the following hubs:

FH-MC33
FH-MC30 (but not all variants)
FH-MC32 (but not all variants)
FH-MC38 (but not all variants)
FH-MC18
FH-MC12
FH-M756
FH-M752
FH-M570
FH-M565
FH-M555
FH-M530

jesus Christ Mike what a top reply ^^...... You dah man !

having looked on line its just dawned upon me the M563 Parallax was fooking 7 speed and I need 8 (Arrgghh)
I read on here that you can change the freehub over, but the cost of a 10mm allen key and one of these is
starting to question should I look for a tidy M565

no even sure if this would fit.... https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/search/?ter ... t=deore+lx

I've got a pair of 8/9/10 speed LX hubs lying about if you're interested. M570, IIRC.

Thanks for the reply, sadly it has to be Black and M570 are (admittedly rather nice) Grey

Re:

You might struggle to undo the bolt holding the freehub on just a bare hub (unbuilt) as you will probably have a job holding onto it, especially if it's been on there a while.

Re:

If your not sorted by the weekend I'll try & get to my workshop & go through the "wheels that time forgot" I might have something suitable

Thanks all

Now sorted by Mr Gruff and his parts bin

Still bowled over by Splatters reply ....

The right honourable Mr Gruff kindly sent me a set of used but mints cones that look as good as new

dude even included a free10mm allen key for freehub surgery

top geezer !
