Badly listed, no bids, 4 days left, 99p start and a £150 BIN. So I chucked in a 99p speculative bid to wipe off the BIN and hoping for a bargain. Almost immediately there was a counter bid from a 0 rated buyer so I though I'd leave it till nearer the end. today I check in and someone else had also bid and the same 0 rated buyer has outbid them not just by a few pounds this time but I have pushed it up to over £50 to see how far they have gone and was the high bidder for all of two minutes until the same 0 rated user outbid me again.
I smell a rat here what do you think? Thinking the seller is thinking that now two people are bidding that they will push it nearer to the BIN price.

The Twat has only used the same account to Shill a previous auction too, my piss is boiling!

Report it . Don't know how though .

John posted a link in a thread either at the bottom of this page or the next that says a guy got some prison time or a hefty fine for it . Think I saw the word fraud too .

It might be the paranoia but a few times I will see something so put a few quid on , come back to it shortly after to have another look and muse over value and see it had another bid within an hour . Nothing too out of the ordinary but seems strange that something can go for days without a bid then once I've made one for there to be another so close .

They're bloody watching me aren't they

Could be innocent though, a newbie not knowing you can leave a bid and not have to be in the "lead" all the time.

On two separate auctions from the same seller? Unlikely I think.

I have reported him, if he is innocent I apologise but on his other auction there were two separate accounts that bid in small amounts to push the highest bidders bid higher then didn't bid any more.

Two mails from ebay this morning, the first thanking me for my complaint, the second 15 minutes later informing me there has been a bid retraction and I am now the high bidder! I guess he has had his other accounts delted now.
Thing is though I don't really want to win any more as I would have to meet him in person and having reported him to the authorities he maybe ever so slightly pissed at me.

Will ebay tell him why his account was deleted?

Carl.
