Amazing how bike building is such a process! I’ve now pulled everything to be a near identical colour match, so silver hubs and black rims (thanks @JimboG) etc as the Tomac bike had. I lost my way a bit with that goal but now have that back on track. Components are now as they will be for a long time. Other than spraying the P2 forks I have waiting in the Yeti fork colours (red being swapped for pink) the bikes set as is.
Found some SID race forks with a 220mm steerer so now have those on. Gone back to flat Syncros bars as the stacked headset and risers was too much visually and riding wise.
Seatpost and skewers have been bought now making a Syncros fivesome of bars, stem, seatpost, crank and skewers. The Chris King seatpost colour was a ridiculous purchase but was an amazing colour match to the decals so I let that one through.
Super happy with the T1 tyres as they have the old school side squares to the tyres thread, are amber wall and handle well. It was all about getting the look right with them initially.
60min ride and it’s also great to fly around some flat single track and occasional climb. It actually climbs really well.
Now for the amateur fork spraying which will need to be good otherwise I will just keep doing it!!
