Ok iv made a small start on what will be my main San Andreas ride. Striped all pealing and unwanted decals/stickers off and de-assembled the frame.
Polished the 7005 alloy up with an industrial cutting past, IV found 7005 alloy doesn’t cut or shine as well as the 6061.
Cut a thread in the inner side of the swinging arm pivot tube and drilled oil way straight though as I do with all my Andreas’s, used 2 SRP mech break-off bolts to seal pivot tube and force lubrication onto the bushes.
Re- assembled and a nice new set off decals from Gil, Again changed the grey cycle lettering to red and used the old style head tube badge also because I prefer it.

'Doesnt shine up as well', no but you still did a brilliant job.

Really like the srp mod.

What are the plans for it?

To be honest XC riding on the Malvern’s and Ludlow most the time, heavier riding when at the cost in the summer. Will put the Pikes off the R series or 100mm Shivers I have on this one and build it light.

As much as i think the shivers are right for it, i reckon the pikes would look spot on for some reason.
