RetroRoadRide Series Rd 1: Cheddar Gorge ~ 08/03/14

What do you have in mind, I'm leaving tomorrow morning at 6 to get there. Flouroforks doesn't check his mail often so we need to decide by the morning.

The pretty standard retrobike time is normally 10 for 10:30am start I only noticed it was 9am yesterday  , if people are happy with early start Obviously i am ...sorry will button it

Well, I've go to get back to London as I fly home on Sunday morning and I've got to tidy up and pack, blah, blah...... so I don't want to be too late going back. I reckon we need 5 1/2 hours for a bit of leisure time and a bottle of beer on the green at the end.

What do you think Grumpycommuter ?

Can crash at mine Friday night if you want Karl? :D

I would prefer the 0900 for 0930....buys us some CPR time (sorry history man!) at the tops of the hills.

No stranger to early starts, beer doesn't make itself you know

If Robin is ok with it I'll see you at 0630 Dave.

P.s Dave, thanks for the offer of a sleep-over but my wife is marginally cuddlier than you are.

Sorry chaps, got sidetracked.

I'd prefer a 9 - 9.30 start if only to give us a few more options during the day but i'm not going worry if anyone wants to go later.

Dave, if it helps I can meet you there? Could be tight for time without adding in some additional running around Chelters and then sorting bikes. Makes getting back more direct for you and Karl so probably helps all round.

I'd actually like to do this, as the profile looks a challenge, but I don't have a road bike, and have never ridden in a group on the road. Have fun, some lovely scenery to enjoy, and route goes past where I got engaged to my wife
