Neil,
You know I think you're a waste of my time,
I'm fairly sure you realise I couldn't care less either way.

and I've said in the past I won't reply to you again.
I'm fairly sure nobody cares either way.

Against my better judgement, I'll make an exception.
And I'm fairly sure nobody could care less about that proclamation, either. So why not cut the foreplay, eh?

Then if you're so sure, and it bothers your sense of play so much, then you should contact the mods about it.
In general, in life, I try to work things out with my peers without involving higher authority when I can avoid it. That means that when I was a kid, I didn't go to my parents if I had a disagreement with my brother, and I didn't involve the teacher if I had a disagreement with a classmate. I don't go to the police if I have a dispute with my neighbour -
unless I have absolutely no other choice.
Yet several times I've read you mithering about this sort of thing - I mean FFS either do something about it, or not - but regularly bothering about it just becomes redundant.
The amount of palaver and mithering about BOTM, who's voting for what, and why, and whether there's anything underhand, it beggars belief.

All this palaver about the BOTM votes - well if people care so much about it, and the results - then do something about your suspicions that are obviously concerning you, rather than snide, subtle digs that just serve to show some degree of bitterness.
BotM isn't a very important part of Retrobike for me. When I've entered it's been without any hope of winning, and I've picked up a handful of votes here and there. On the other hand, I know that it's important to many people who enter, and I'd rather see a fair competition. So what I
do is make my suspicions public so that my peers and yours can judge for themselves whether or not they have any foundation. If the community judges that there are grounds for suspicion, the community can act accordingly. I assume that's also Rob's goal in creating this thread.
Ah, so you're doing it "for the good of the community".
Well I can only speak for myself, but I'm glad somebody is thinking of the children.
But FFS, how many times do the conspiracy theories and peevish comments have to go on for? If it's so apparent, and you believe it's important to people you care about, then why not actually be the ball?
'cos all this gossiping seems to do is create or reinforce divisions.

I'm not subtle - to be subtle would be completely counterproductive. I'm not snide, and I'm certainly not bitter. I'm just pointing out that I think BotM has been far too open to manipulation and gamesmanship to assume it's not happening. The alterations John brought in last month may change that.
Yeah, you're just pointing it out. Just putting it in the background.
Again.
But really, you don't care - it's all just a proxy for others who've been done wrong.
