it never occured to me to have more then the one account.im suprised the possibility of others having more than one saddens me a little.this is my favourite site..its given me back my love of bikes which i lost and depleted my account more times then it should...ps mikee...if your not me then who is?
There was a time that accounts had been created that mimic'd my nickname and that of another/others on the forum. I think it was JeRkY. (the full stop being part of the account name).
Due to the dilligent observations of one member these were brought to the attention of myself, the other affected members and John, the accounts were all banned before anything could happen but effectively I think some one had created them to scam on sales posts or just generally cause trouble.
As for multiple accounts for BOTM voting. Yes I think it sadly happens. I personally wont vote for my own entry with my single account.

The issue of multiple accounts is a topic on just about every message board, I guess if you enter a competition and you reckon you may have won but for someone 'rigging' the vote, then you have a genuine gripe.
So when I enter BOTM I will just offer money for votes.
That is allowed, no?
Watching Bergerac is probably good research for getting to the bottom of something like this. Then there is Columbo. How would Jim Rockford go about it? One thing I am sure of is that he would end up being harassed by the local plod, wind up in a fist fight and have to drive his car pretty fast.
