Retro MTB number plates...

I am afraid i am with Cherrybomb on this; seeing a personal plate a while ago usually meant an interesting classic car or bike had bitten the dust. I once had an offer for the plate on my VW bus but refused. The original plates from my S1 Land Rover and my Jeep have been replaced too. Grrrr :x
But what the heck-each to their own :D

My '59 Beetle isn't on its original reg either!

Though I quite like the more imaginative plates as long as letters and numbers aren't deliberately disguised.

In school, I always dreamed about driving A Ferrari F40 with the reg: G1LES 8)

The ones that really piss me off the ones like this -

A11 MAN

BI6 MAN

MAN 4U etc etc......

On the other hand, I regularly see an old lady of about 80 driving some little Diahatsu with the registration MAN1C - always makes me smile.
I do think they're all bollocks though, especially if you've had to pay loads for them.

I saw a Bentley Continental (Mulliner T, the 2000-2003 model, not the current footballers wives car) with the plate B2 on it. 8)

I can only hope that at home he also had a 1959 Continental with the plate B1.

The closest I have ever got was on my BMW 635CSi I had a Northern Irish plate (which came with it), NJI 7057 which once I had some German style plates made up looked very convincingly like a German car. 8)

A friend of mine has 'S1MON' which i suppose is pretty good, I've seen the 'S4TAN' one steve, it was on a blacked out and rather overblinged Range Rover Sport.......... theres a lady with 'U2' on her mini round here too! Not bikey sorry but i don't mind personal plates so thought i'd put my bit in!

i know of an old metro with "YOD4" on it

rumour has it there are two mercs in london with the plates

2B and NOT2B

I respect the ones that have show true imagination. For example, when the "new style" ones came out there was a new Jag with the plate PE51MST (pessimist) that made me chuckle, but my all time favourite of all time is the old Bentley I saw cruising around Belgravia with V PO5H
