For more stubborn paint, I've been wrapping the tube in cling film after spraying to keep the solvent active for longer, or putting small parts in a sealed plastic bag.

You could probably get it soft media blasted for the price of a can of decent stripper.

I finally admitted defeat last year and no longer bother doing my own prep and paint. You you don't really save cash wise, an when I factored in my precious time at rest day over time rates is was hundreds down the tube in comparison.

Würths website doesn't include store opening times, and they weren't open today. Hopefully tomorrow.
There's a branch next door to a shop I go in quite often. It's a strange place, I've never seen another customer in there and nothing has prices on, so you have to ask about anything your interested in!

Lidl thinners are good , failing that a plain old paint stripper which doesnt have nitromors on the tin and i believe that adds 50% on to the price.

I've started using Wurth gasker remover:

It' a spray on gasket remover. Turns the epoxy and polyester powder coats on my stuff to a rubbery skin in a few hours, which can be peeled or rubbed off, no blasting needed. Doesn't attack the alu at all.

Not cheap at about £14 a can, but that will do 2-3 frames.
Other gasket removers are available...

This product doesn't work, it's made no difference in several coatings over 5 hours.
I guess the product has changed since Danson67 used it, hence the website link changing.
