I've just bought some reissue Cinelli bars and the 'milky anodised' finish looks awful. It's virtually white - nothing like they used to be and nothing like my 1A stem in the same 26.0 size. Don't understand why they should do such a thing, but still a solution must be found. Has anyone tried polishing the anodising off? A shiny finish would be much more appropriate for my build. I have powerdrill/polishing mops/compound/autosol/elbow grease etc to hand.
Any advice appreciated.
