Refreshing a tired '95 Cinder Cone - FINISHED 18Aug

Recently got this as a spare bike, planning to keep at the office for lunch / evening rides. Lots of rusty paint chips and scratches but decided against repainting - after already sourcing new decals from Gil  Just going to give it a nice rebuild replacing everything that's worn, so it'll be fairly original spec but will ride as sweet as it did back in '95. Hopefully.. :)

Nice work! My first "proper" MTB and IMO the best spec'ed CC. It's a great ride. I remember this one on ebay - how much did you pay for it in the end?

Thanks guys for the positive comments, glad you like it. Yes 'Plus one' i'd found your thread and scrutinized it all before starting mine - great job you did
OK here's this weekend's update. I'll post up a couple of 'finished' pics if it survives the first roadtest without anything falling off

Excellent job on the paint-matching; that'll come in very handy to others I'm sure.
