Wanted Cheap left hand thumbshifter

If you could use a matched pair, would you prefer a properly functioning set of Shimano EM friction shifters (nice ratchet mechanism) from the Deer Head era?

Just thinking, maybe a switchable index rhs shifter might be the ticket. Ie use it in index...with option to go friction if it goes pear shaped?

Although a pair of suntour xc-something will do the same if 8 speed if your goal...

It has, but it’s not very functional: might be okay in friction (they’re from the 6 spd era).

Hi. I may be interested in the non functional mt730 if Windowmaker doesn't want it first of course .I'm looking for a part for a broken mt732 but I'm pretty sure the part is the same on both from videos I've watched
