The door has fallen off my old faithful and is currently being held into place by a well positioned screwdriver handle underneath the bracket of it!

I can't/won't pay more than £280, needs to have plenty of space for plenty of bottles of gin and wine!! Only kidding. No kids here, just me and t'other half.

What suggestions have you?

Have a look at Beko- cheaper end of the market, but they have a good spec, and I'd say their reliability is as good as dearer brands.
Gorenje, too, if you can find a dealer or online, good extra warranties.

We had to buy one a few months back. After looking at what seemed like millions and getting our heads battered, we ended up with this from John Lewis. Bit more at £330, but seemed best use of space/energy rating/frostfree etc.

Been very happy with Bosch. Built like a brick outhouse, and the top energy rating saves you £££ in a couple of years.

our Bejam fridge freezer lasted 20 years...

our cheapies only lasted 3 or 4 years

I'm monitoring our big LG double door thing.

Plenty of decent fridges get sent down the tip so you could try there for ultimate budget busting.

I was about to say what LGF did. You can't give secondhand fridges away, there are bargains to be had.

+1 for the beko[where did they get that name  ]
Mine has been running for about 8 yrs now
