Took my newly built RC200 out tonight and had a few shifting issues. Upon a closer look I noticed the cable was fouling on the bolt and chain suck gadget, so basically 2 places. Is this normal cos however I position it, the cable touches. Tempted to just remove but am curious as to what the hell I am doing wrong cos I be baffled!!

Re:

Looks like you're missing the top half of the anti-chainsuck block. The block is split horizontally and the top section has a groove running along it so the cable runs through the middle of the two halves.

I wouldn't remove it though, I learned the hard way what happens if you do that!

Ah interesting! Certainly wasn't there when I bought it. Will have a go at knocking something up from Dairlylea and a Hobknob. Cheers for the info matey, well handy!!

You could try running the cable through a length of plastic sheath (the inner part of the outer cable that is sold separately as part of kits to protect your cable). This would sit on top of the chain suck plate and your cable would run through it unhindered (I theory).

Re:

You'll file down the suck device or maybe find Bob cable guide that either lifts the wire or moves it further in

Spacers (chain ring ones would work) under the plate to raise it up up so the cable runs underneath it.
