Salut, I sell a new Raleigh frame from 1979 / Reynolds 753.
57 cm M./M for 900 € + port (from Berlin Germany)

Why so expensive?

same reason why some classic cars sell for mega prices. you could buy a new fiesta for a fraction, which will be faster, more economical & have better safety features ... but its not that elusive classic.

The frame is a SBDU raleigh - hightly sought, in 753, the top tubeset and if it really is NOS, then unused - not bodged, repainted, no blemishes etc.

All I can add is that it has some SBDU features, and anyone can buy a 753 sticker on eBay.

Not trying to be negative but if I were selling this frame a photo of the frame number would be a priority - together with the seatpin size (this indicates whether 753 or not).

Plus I'd like more images - and despite the desirability of SBDU frames 900 Euros is very strong money for a new one.

Yep, you can't sell a frame for 900E with one blurry photo and no frame number, 753 is 27.2 isn't it?

I'm not a buyer, as I have an SBDU(bought new).

If memory serves...753 is not 27.2mm.

If it is truly like new - as mentioned in a previous post, not blemishes, perfect transfers/stickers, I'd put the top price at 500 Euros, if it got that I'd be surprised though.

I had a 753 frame that took a 27.2mm seatpost but i've heard of others that take 27.00mm...so some variety.

SBDU still have a mystique but 900€ is a lot of money and Berlin is a long way to sort out problems....could be the real thing....still a lot of money but as someone said if it is NOS...it would up the ante....but for that to be so....its provenance needs to verified....which is only fair enough...especially when the asking price is 900€ or £747.47 [todays exchange rate]....Caveat emptor!
