I remember racing the Bontrager 24/12 last year and got chatting with a lad who was younger than me and he asked how old was my Salsa ala carte and when I told him its a 92 he said that was the year he was born :facepalm: ........I couldn't stop laughing

I did the same race 2 years ago on a rigid Pace RC200! got plenty of encouragement actually from other riders "great bike!!" "I used to have one o'them!!" etc and I was the quickest out of our team of 5 riders the rest of which were all on modern bikes
