Quill stem to threadless - Alpinestars resto

after welding my cracks up and running a sleeve in the head tube my head tube is now 1/18th so I can use 1/18th threadless headset 1/198th project 2 forks and stem in there
 
If you're a real philistine, you can buy reducing rings to fit a 1 1/8" headset and then use any 1 1/8" threadless fork of suitable blade length/travel.

I’m not a philistine but by the same token my restoration might not make the purists moist.
When I first bought the bike (1992) I dreamt of adding anodised bits everywhere and now that I’m wanting to coat the frame I’m thinking of a colour change.
Thanks to a couple of forum members I’ve got my 1 1/4 quill stem and thanks to Gil I have a set of decals coming.
As soon as I’m in a place to I will start a build thread - some may like it and some may not but I’m going to try and build the bike the way I wanted to 27 years ago (within a reasonable budget)
