Problems with campagnolo canti brake pads/blocks - dont work

Yes your straddle cable is all woopsy.

Try lowering the hanger allowing the cantis to go a bit wider but bring the pads in a bit. This should up the mechanical leverage

Thanks guys
I’ve set up a few cantis in the past and never had a problem
I’ve started to hate these
Have you a picture of a set up Record or ?

These are 'low pro' models and I never really liked these or any other manufacturers' versions and I could never get them as good as the older wide styles.

Cant find anything picture wise yet.

this may help with straddles and where to put things

Have Coda cantilevers on my wife’s cannondale - Paul Neo Retro, Suntour XC Pro and Diatech - never had a problem
These are a pain in regards the hanger clamp - and everything.
I’m considering getting a set of the other Campag types - day the Euclid or Centaur graphite ones - but if they’re anything like these I think I’ll pass on Campag altogether and get some Sachs Rival

Thanks - I’ll be going into the garage to sort these out shortly and will watch this first

Re:

If the pads are original they’ll be hard now. I had the same problem with NOS XT blocks on a U-brake with a Mavic M7CD rim. They literally had no effect.
