Postage times to Europe - your experiences

As above, what sort of postage times have you experienced when sending items TO different European countries?

Mainly interested in Italy and the Netherlands, but it may be useful for other people if we all shared?

I am asking because I posted something to Italy 10 days ago via 1st class airmail and it is still not there, :? so I need to know how long to leave it before claiming from the Post Office for the value of the item.

I’ve post everything from a small packet to a swing-arm from Australia to the UK. Everything got there safely in 5 to 6 working days.

from Italy to here 5 days, France to here 4 days

Sent a parcel to Portugal 18th, international 3 day signed for, still hasn't arrived. Although tracking says it was transferred to the Portuguese on the 20th. 9 days in the Portuguese post so far :shock:

I've never waited more than 5 working days for packages from the UK to Sweden.
I'm told that things going to Italy can be held up for weeks in the italian customs.

That's because the postman fit the lovely retro parts to the post bike before delivering
