I've found things slowing down over the last few weeks.I cant be sure of this but it seems that way, especially accessing 'my pictures' on my computer,it can take a hell of of a lot longer.this can be when im not doing anything else other than just opening 'my pics',my computer is pretty new and a dual core at over 3Ghz each.It shouldnt be this slow :?
Ive run spybot, but its come up clean. :?
I ran the talktalk FSecure diagnostic and its come up with something called
nslookup APP
I've no idea what this is or what its does exactly.Googling it proved fruitless.

As ive said the computer seemed slower recently but today i installed left4dead2.I got one game and it ran OKish,i quit and tried for another an hour ago but it wont connect to a server, keeps saying connection lost.

Im not sure this nslookup APP has anything to do with the game.
Its giving me the option of allow or deny
It didnt come up when i installed the game, neither did it appear on playing it that one time
Any ideas

Update
I pressed DENY

Up has now come A NEW CONNECTION ALERT TCP/!P Ping command

 Help meeeee its getting worse.i fear if i press deny again the broadband is going to switch off.
Permanently

How old is it? Is it full up with dust? This will cause the CPU to get hot and then clock throttle slowing it down. Open it up and take a look it could be that simple. My laptop had got full enough with dust in a year to slow down when pushed hard. If it is full don't clean with a hoover as you can literally blow the crap out of it due to static. Use a can of compressed air.

A lot of people don't realise that due to the fans a PC acts like a hoover for dust.

Carl.

Im not sure this is mal or virus related,i think my modem is having a tizzy fit

Im going to have to allow it and see what happens

Bloomin' computers

Never been trustworthy since HAL9000 refused to open the pod bay doors for Dave

Oh dear, i wish i could help you more, i know how frustrating it can be, that;s why i dumped windows and went Linux. Anyway, download and run this, its very good, http://www.malwarebytes.org/ and see what if anything comes up.

Update 2
Most of the warnings appear to be Fsecure themselves. It runs a diagnostic[which needs registry changes and connection privileges so instead of just doing what it needs ,its popping up a warning message first.
AGGGGGHHHHH
Theyre not making it easy

Thanks to everyone so far.Im nearly on top of it :)
