Yeah just like acetone :x now no longer available in industrial quantities[or any quantity :shock: ]
Security issues only,nothing to do with health :x

Acetone - still available as far as I know, just Googled and found a few reputable online retailers. Also if you work in the scientific sector small volumes are fairly easily cadged from your employers.

White spirit - not being banned (yet) as far as I'm aware, although the paint industry is shifting more towards water-based paints and/or ones using less harmful organic solvents for domestic use.

If in any doubt, worth contacting the HSE via their website or by phone?
