Pets

Unusual for a buzzard to take an adult hare. They will often take the young but adults tend to be too big and heavy for them to carry. Could likely be a large male stoat, cat or fox, or more likely unfriendly neighbourhood poacher or a lurcher / greyhound.

Beautiful animal

Charlie is wonderful. One of my favourite animals is the hare. Mayflies are another but they would make rubbish pets. We saw a couple of Charlie's wild relatives yesterday. They came quite close as we were standing still waiting for our daughter to finish photographing a field of poppies.

I will join behind Chompsky to start the workers revolution.

He now has mates of his own...like all teenagers...

We've had lots of visitors over the years.

Are you the ones handing out free raisins and carrots?
(We later learned that carrots are too high in sugar for them, and raisins aren't great either.)

There's only so much of this you can take until you want one of your own.
