Ok, so eventually it gave up the goods, 99% of the super tough paint has gone, now for a liberal application of elbow grease… Peachy style
Now do I lose the eyelets? (I’m not planning on touring with it & mud washes off)

What are you 'cleaning' it with? Scotchbrite or a polish?

Cellulose thinners and scotchbrite to remove the acid scum & paint residue, then a wipe over with 3-in1….. the 853 is coming up lovely & it’s tempting to leave as it is maybe with a quick layer of clear coat, but that won’t fly…
Next stage will be zinc plating then I’ll have to decide to stop with a brushed zinc finish, or to polish and get it chromed

Nope, I just use a local powder coat chap. If the frame had been powder the dip would have cost £10, but because of the layers of baked 2k it took three attempts so he charged me £20.
You could spend that on crap Nytro-No-more and still have the stickers in place!
