Paul QR Seat Binder Bolt?

while disassembling my stumpjumper i recoginced that the QR seat skewer had the letters "P A U L" engraved on the top. i got it from a friend in the early 90's to replace the uncool shimano QR seat skewer.
i'm quite suprised because if find it hard to believe that there were PAUL compmnents available in vienna BITD...
did paul ever make QR skewers?
has anyone seen any of these?
could this be a fake?

Looks genuine to me, although it would look better on my bike I reckon!

yup, that's a Paul skewer. they had wheel skewers too, with titanium and stainless steel axles and in black and raw aluminum. i like them

i always just liked the look of the skewer. never thought it was anything special.
