So, using the 22mm mounting holes and the 51mm IS caliper holes for guide, then using the above image of the actual bracket scaled skillfully and of course accurately on my phone screen and an old ruler, I made a template from card. I then cut a model in 3mm balsa using the boys toy power workbench (no really, its ace). Then off to the scrap bin at work and scrounged a piece of 6mm alu the right sort of size. Biff baff boff, mk 1 bracket:
Its a bit rough around the edges but its not bad to test the idea. I think the proper pace part is set spacing for 180mm disc, so I had to stretch the holes a bit to suit m 185mm disc (dopey). Bear in mind it was done with hand tools and a dremel its was a bit of a faff too, but at least now I have a front brake!
Now I know it works I can take my time getting a mk2 machine cut on this this template. Just need to find the right beer to bargain with the chaps in the workshop...
