Re:

thanks Ollie

i think Giom got it spot on - Classic

Steel/Rigid Pioneer

XT m730
18 Speed
U on the back end
Grey mavic rims
Massive Bio pace eggs!

its almost retro by numbers, and pretty close to the original spec sheet with just enough Overbury chaos to keep it real

so the XT is all there

the stuff thats not correct is as follows

the saddle - the turbo is just a placeholder, i'm currently refurbing the saddle which is a madison leather jobbie, so doesn't actually tie in anyway
the tyres - it did have the ritchey tyres but there were shagged, hence the cheap and cheerful sb's
the seatpost - i have the original but its heavily scored, silver and nothing to get excited about anyway

the rest is as spec except......

in true overbury style the wheels are XT on Mavic Oxygen, so the rims from the "exage" model

i have it in my head that they were building it up and the ran out of the Wolbers, so continued with what they had....

or a customer specced it i suppose

The Mavic Oxygen rim is a tough old rim. Usually they were built up with rustless spokes which was bloody annoying!

Absolutely correct. In general rustless spokes should have been illegal!
