The cash offer of 500 was mine so thanks very much for that.

That's it in the '91 catalogue ( and the one I'd want too if I was being honest )
It was the Handmade/custom Orange rather than made abroad - finished on Hanson Lane in Halifax ones. Very lustful.

If anyone wants something in particular let me know.
The chap asked me if he should accept a cash offer of £500, I advised against it and seeing as it cleared £550 last night only just into the start of the listing I was probably right.
If he lets the auction run then the £1000 mark may not be far off - the 753 Zinn went for more that that - it scored points on condition and original parts but isn't as rare or mythical a beast, it is a beauty though Carl
Does anyone know how many of the wishbone stay formulas were made? Are they in addition to the 8 (2 yates and 6 donahue) that have the fast back stays? Has anyone seen one recently? Dam I'd like one of those!

Or did it...?

The auction did - which means at least 2 people valued it at that price at the time of sale - I know the sale fell through and you got it for less

That is what I was refering to - overall numbers made.
sinnerman":ve2ftifl said:The Zinn is a totally different bike, than the formula shown.
Agreed - and for all the reasons you mention that is why I think the formula will make similar money despite being rarer - pros and cons to both.

Exactly - the rest is window dressing and is abundant - the value in this bike is the frame, its rarity and its place in the history and formative years of a successful and popular UK bike brand.
If I had the choice between this and your Zinn 753 it would be a very hard one to make, either way you would end up with a rare and special bikeFor me I think it would be the Zinn though, just because...
