Offering very cool early to mid 70s Batavus Professional frameset

The Professional, the contender of the Gazelle Champion Mondial in the 70s, 80s and 90s. Way rarer, in particularly examples like this early one. Handmade in Holland.

Features:
- Reynolds 531 tubing
- Bocama longpoint lugs
- chrome fork and rear
- ORANGE
- Seattube 61cm c-t
- Toptube 580mm
- Shimano 600 headset

Condition: Beware! You buy a used frame. Looking for mint, look elsewhere. You have an appreciation for patina, than this could be your new love. Structurally sound frame, absolutely. The patina is in the finish. The paint is though, but underrust is visible under coat on in particularly toptube and downtube. Chrome could need a polishing.

No matter what the condition is, it is still an unique early Batavus Professional. In my view with this frame you can buy a great all weather or works bike. Keep it a bit greasy is my advise and it will bring you to everywhere for many years to come.

That's three absolutely gorgeous frames you've posted up in the last little while! Picking and choosing, if I was a few inches taller this is the one I'd go for in a heartbeat!

Should you ever happen to come across a nice retro / vintage cyclo cross frame, around say a 55 (and I'm a sucker for orange), please post it up (and maybe let me know!)...

Cheers!

Holy thread resurrection batman!

October 2009- my guess is its either been built up and kept/sold or sold as was long ago!
