....has anyone had the pleasure(!) of fitting a modern LED light system into a vintage light casing?

Does anyone know of any websites I can look at in regards to doing this and examples of thereof. Ideally I'd prefer some old fashioned fender mounted lights but beggars can't be choosers alas.

Lee.

You seen these:

I have one on my neoretro road bike and it looks a treat

It's not bad, you'll never go off road with it and it's not going to 'turn your night into day' but you will be seen and it does give enough to see by. If I get a chance later I'll take a photo.

There are two versions out there, the three led and the 1 Led, just make sure you get the 3 led. Search 'chrome led' on eBay in cycling and you'll get all manner of options. Chainreaction cycles used to do a version by a company called Electra, they also did a bullet shaped rear. So do Soma Fab, although it is a little pricey:

Only downer with the halfords ones is they are single led with single mode.

No matter how I tried I couldn't get a good shot of the beam tonight (crappy camera) but it is good.

As far as fender mounted ones, I would try SJScycles for a dynamo led type. Those touring types love LEDs in chrome.
