I'm pretty sure it's not XC Pro - the cranks don't have that crisp cold-forged look to them, the brake lever bodies are too bulky, and the label on the mech is wrong.

I think it's XC Ltd or XCE X-Press, circa '91.

ah...could be.

The pics are a bit blurry, and I could enlarge them at work, for some reason.
 
yup, Trek 6000 was fitted with xc ltd if I remember right back in '91... school mate of mine had an 830 in the same colour scheme, must have looked at the catalogue a thousand times :oops:
