Nike Poobah Tragedy

Dirt Disciple
Gosh darn it! After 14 years service my Poobahs have split across the sole, just behind the cutaway area for the cleat (is there a technical name for this space?)

Anyway... what should I do?

Being an old git I find it hard to part with my hard earned, so I think I'll keep using them (in dry conditions - can't stand having wet feet)

What's the chances of finding a replacement? UK9 if you have a spare right Poobah looking for a new home

same thing happened to mine only they didnt last 14 yrs
i dont think i even got 5 yrs out of mine.

they were super comfy though

Mine have reached the grand old age of 14 years too, seam is just starting to unstitch across the front side, i don't know what i'll do without them, although i did buy those Lidl ones a few weeks back as a back up.

I know how you feel, and I would suggest an epoxy resin too.

I'm sure someone was selling some NOS ones, they may hae been smaller than UK9 though.

Mk1 or Mk2?

good question???

Can't remember which was which, mine are the grey/green colour - not with the rainbow straps

Anyone care to give me "Dummy's Guide" to this epoxy resin idea

2 part araldite is an epoxy resin

You need to mix it and apply it like glue between the broken bits, and then like filler over the top...

Cyanoacrylate or "CA" glue is brilliant on rubber or plastic and has some give.

I'd try that over supermarket or diy store superglues for a decent bond.

After about 12 years mine also started to crack near the cleat area.
I really liked them. Using new Nike's for about 3 years now.
I had the brown black version.
