I had reason to go to the quacks this week for fluid build up in my knee. Happened in the other knee 15 years ago and had it drained at hospital.

Doc prescribes some anti-inflammatories to be taken for two days, if it doesn't improve by the weekend go to the hospital for draining. Two days, two pills per day. By my reckoning that's four pills in total.

Go to the chemist for the pills and am handed two identical packets. How many pills in total?

54

And all free of charge thanks to Mr Salmond. What a system we have.

The four pills have worked, In fact I might have a cheeky fifth seeing as there's a few spare.

NSAID's are quite harsh of the digestive system, Naproxen or Diclofenac (which he will have probably prescribed as it's pointless doing Ibuprofen as you can buy them so cheaply) can play havoc with your insides, if they've worked leave them until you need them. A friend of mine recently spent several weeks in hospital due to Naproxen and nearly died, he now can't take any NSAID's again, ever.

Carl.

It was Naproxen. I've taken five and the rest are going in the bin, especially after I read that ^^.

It's only 49 wasted.

Same happens with Ibuprofen. You can become sensitive to them , they can cause problems with the stomach (a relation now has such problems)
I found the 24hrs bad and after a wshilke had to stop taking them.
