Hi all

Surfed the site for a while and finally joined. Some of the bikes on here bring back great memories! Not biked for a few years but thinking of getting back into it.

I started mountianbiking in 1985 when I was 15 and my first bike was a Saracen Conquest (Deore XT stuff).

My bikes were:

Saracen Conquest (1985 stolen)
Specialized Stumpjumper Comp (1986/7 ish)
Diamondback Axis (aluminium frame 1987/8 ish)
Chas Roberts cutom built White Spyder (1989)
Long lay off until about 1994 when I bought a Saracen Killi Comp (tange frame).
Speacialised Rockhopper Pro (Disc) 1999?

My brother used to write for Bicycle magazine and was a designer at Muddy For for a while. He spent a summer in Cal working for Tom Richey in the late 1980s and met a lot of the 'legends' including Joe Cunningham.

I recently found and original (cica 1984/5) Muddy Fox Pathfinder frame in the loft at my parents!

In the mid to late 1980s Firends and my brother had bikes such as:

Claude Buttler Canyon
Muddy Fox Explorer
Muddy Fox Monarch
Madision Ridgeback!
Dawes Ranger etc.

I have pics somehwere and will try and scan them in and post them.

Cheers

howdy partner. looking forward to pics.

did your bro design anything interesting?

Nah my brother was crap!

Actually he did do the concepts for what became the Rock N Roll I think.
