nice bikes! for my taste the red stuff on the gatorfade doesn't "fit" at all (skewers, chainring, tires). in addition i wouldn't put boring M737 cranks, a badly worn flite and that seatpost on a bling frame.

yeah, they made a few "Test Bikes" of each model as shop demos. i also didn't know that it is debossed on the higher end models, tthought it would be a sticker.

Yeah, I think the red stuff may make it's way across to the horizon fade soon. I'd thought of having the gatorfade as a pretty subtle build. Silver parts, lots of m900 etc. I was then going to throw red and blue anodised stuff at the other one.

It's all just time and money permitting!

Red Stuff

It looks ok and breaks the colours up. It's your bike anyway, so why should other peoples opinions matter? Only a thought! Very nice pair though

The first build is now looking more like I want it to. Still a work in progress though!
I'm going to put XT thumbies and a trick pair of Silver brakelevers (Pauls, Machinetech or similar). If anyone has any of these for sale, please drop me a line! I'm also after an m900 rear mech (or an early XT). My alternative idea is to go all green. I have a mobypost and a machinetech front hub so far. The rest may be aquired as and when and then i'll see what it looks like plastered in green components!

Second build is starting to look like the equivalent of a shellsuit! I love it!!!

Been looking for a early 90's frame myself, never seem to find one in lanky size

Thanks man! The disk is just something I always wanted and could never justify the cost of. I think i'd probably build a bike around the wheel to be honest! I always thought they looked good on the first GT RTS-1.....

Just got to get my hands on one first!
