1991 Kona Cinder Cone Suntour XC Project

First step was to fill in the spot on the front that stepped inwards

Flapped wheel on the angle grinder helping make things look a little better

Lopped off a chunk of the lower portion as there was too much material for what I need

Hole drilled and ready for some final shaping and paint

All mounted up, decided to use the original nut that came with the hanger. I think it gives it a unique look and finishes it nicely. Needed to find a longer bolts from parts bin but all turned out good.

Shake down ride with front brake only but felt so good. Love the ride postion and the cushy ride.
Chain line is not good on the higher gears so may put spacers in behind the chain ring to move closer to the frame.

This looks really cool, nice work. You have given me some inspiration to do something similar with the bars on my recently purchased 1988 Cindercone. It is a little too small for me but with BMX bars it might work.

Thanks, that’s a nice bike. I would try paint matching some moto bars splatter and all. Add a bunch of black components and that would like rad!
