I going to have to do it in the frame by the looks of things the thing I over looked was rim tape is one as good as another I seen people used normal tape does it matter cheers

Ye I was thinking doing it out of wood with a set of wide callipers at bottom so you can move in and out

The plans are in that book i put a link to.... plus plans for a dishing tool. All can be made from scrap ply.

Please, please don't use electrical tape, on trail/enduro/motocross bikes it traps moisture against the rim and rots it out. it's a bodge.
